Memoir: Welcome

2022 Black History Month

a Phillip E. Walker Video Memoir

Having been completed on the February 1, 2022 Lunar New Year, then previewed live & in-person at the 2022 Miller Davis Jones family reunion in Fremont, CA and later at the Black Theatre Network 36th annual National conference in Detroit, MI, this International Motion Picture Critic's 2021 BEST HISTORICAL FILM depicts more than a half century of artist activism by 2022 GOLDEN LADY BEST PERFORMER of the YEAR Awardee Phillip E. Walker-MFA. The lifelong work began with PhilE as a novice thespian realizing the power of art while delivering the I Have A Dream speech to his 1968 Southside of Chicago high school total population on the morning after Dr. Martin Luther King’s assassination, through his major participation in the movements that encouraged Black History Month & Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday celebrations. Mr. Walker now actively stands up against Hollywood producers’ illegal treatment of their employees. With the purpose of encouraging all 50 United States to officially recognize the new Juneteenth National Holiday, Dubai's IFAME Review called 2022 Black History Month... an "IMMORTAL VOICE FOR THE RIGHTS OF COMMON MAN . . ."
