FDI Honors All Submissions
In May of 2026, Festival de Indie returned to servicing the independent cinema field by honoring 72+ different submissions with a combination of more than 300 Honors such as: Official Selections, Nominations, Awards, Reviews, Interviews and Video Reports, all in less than a month's time.
While most of the World's film festivals were delivering a larger number of rejections in response to artist submissions.
FDI actually glorifies the art of storytelling by providing a platform for voices that often go unheard as a result of film festival rejections.
Rather than looking for weaknesses in submitted productions, like most film festivals do, the Festival de Indie film awards event looks for the strength in every submission, then honors that aspect of the art. This fact makes submitting to Festival de Indie among the highest values in the entertainment industry.
