Also for possible inclusion in this year's documentary video report, with AllEvents.by/PhilE registration at https://allevents.in/rancho%20cucamonga/80002921631257, scheduled from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm PST on Monday's June 19th Holiday itself, is the 2nd annual Rancho Cucamonga Juneteenth WALK which heeds US Representative Opal Lee's call for everyone to walk 2 1/2 miles in remembrance of the 2 1/2 years it took for all US Slaves to be informed that they were freed from bondage. Prolific Hollywood talent Phillip E. Walker-MFA will lead this WALK from the corner of 7th Street and Anaheim Place, Rancho Cucamonga, California 91730 USA to the Rancho Cucamonga Civic Center.
There, following a speech by San Jose State University Television Radio Film and Theatre Professor Emeritus Dr. Ethel Pitts Walker about the 2021 making of the new US Federal Juneteenth Holiday, a document will be presented which encourages this All-American City to formally recognize National Juneteenth Celebrations by designating a Rancho Cucamonga City Juneteenth Official Holiday.
